Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Define, organize, execute, and coordinate environmental, permitting, engineering, project management assignments, primarily for clients in the fuel and chemical distribution industries terminals and pipelines, and in the chemical manufacturing industry. Typical assignments include site assessments, due diligence evaluations, overall project management, permit strategy development, permit applications, client representation through permitting process, permit expediting, environmental compliance reviews and consulting including air, water, and soil, able to lead project teams comprised of various disciplines, project concept to completion.
- Plan, organize, and supervise work of technical staff, engineers, scientists, designers and administrative staff supporting those assignments.
- Select and define scope of environmental projects and industrial related problems to guide investigations. Plan and develop solutions to those problems that often require novel concepts and approaches.
- Interface with key clients and project staff in formal, informal, and project team meetings.
- Proficient in a lead role in areas of project, technical, environmental compliance, and communications with local, county, state, and federal agencies.
- Provide clients with on-site construction management assistance during installation, commissioning and start-up of equipment and related systems.
Qualifications
Experience with key duties and responsibilities described above are a requirement. Strong candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A BA/BSEnv, BSCE, BSME or BSChE degree and minimum of 5+ years consulting experience in environmental, manufacturing or other industrial projects.
- Ability to apply project management techniques commonly used in industrial capital projects, environmental permitting, remediation, and compliance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of office productivity software including spreadsheets and word processing.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx, and GIS software a plus.
- Experience in fuel and chemical storage and distribution facilities a plus.
- Ability to acquire professional certification or registration within two years.
